So I thought of this test. An interesting exercise. The test is simple: name three Wang Chung songs. No peeking. I can do it. Can you? Is this challenging at all? I don’t have a gauge on it. I hope y’all are staying safe and healthy out there.

Everybody Have Fun Tonight, Dance Hall Days, and uh….nope, only got two.
My wife and I are musicophiles–we were among the last lingering VH-1 Classic viewers, now we have a massive video playlist we watch on shuffle a couple times a week. Over time we have developed this vocabulary about somewhat well-known bands’ “first song,” “second song” etc corresponding to which ones people are most likely to remember. I don’t know that Wang Chung has a “third song” and I’m curious how often people even know the second song.
Don’t be ridiculous. There aren’t three Wang Chung songs!
“Dance Hall Days”, “Everybody Have Fun Tonight”, and…
There’s a Wang Chung tune on the Breakfast Club soundtrack called “Fire in the Twilight”. It plays over the scene where they’re running through the halls trying to avoid Vernon. It’s a good tune; I have it in my playlist.
