Generally speaking, would you rather have an even number of cookies or an odd number of cookies? Let’s assume that the number of cookies you have is a number that is, to you, a satisfactory number of cookies to have. Would you rather the number were even or odd? Explain your answer.

Odd, obviously. An even number of cookies seems like a set of cookies. You always want to have one more cookie and that cookie is the odd numbered cookie.
So you’re saying, even if both options yield the same amount of cookie matter, three cookies is better than two cookies. Five cookies is better than four cookies. Cool. I’d reached similar conclusions, but I wonder, is three cookies better than four cookies?
Only if they’re big cookies. If they’re small cookies, 4 is better.
